NorhTech Edubook.
World's first AA cell powered EduBook 8.9" LED back-lit TFT screen, full query (80key), integrated 110-240V AC power supply solid-state storage.
Running Slackware13.0; booting a custom made kernel from originally shipped sources.
Boots into fluxbox.
Supports 3 external and one internal USB 2.0 devices.
Has HDA mic/phone jacks; two internal SD card (tried class6 - supports full speed) and a mini PATA IDE connection (probably two channels).
Flawlessly boots USB flash disks, optical media etc.
Had WinXP running on it (trial) SP3 - no problem.
CPU:
seems to be speed-stepping from 100MHz up to 1000MHz on demand (gkrellm plugin)
Usage:
1. ultra mobile platform (small and rough)
2. dirt cheap battery replenish (long term usage)
3. Need to find a decent GPRS or something.
Gets shipped with 8x2000mAh cells (runs on 8x AA) and I tried it with 1100mAh NiCd - acceptable runtime
Next i plan to seek some 2800mAh or so cells ;o)

There are so many people with so many cool toys. 2 AAs! Gotta love the net for sharing all the possibilities. What will your primary use for it be? I remember running a mail server on RedHat with 1/3 the processor and 1/2 the memory yikes!
