Manchester City||2009-2010||Compilation

The 2009-2010 season was the best in recent history for the blue revolution. A fifth place finish was macthed with the highest number of points since the success of the 60's and the Premier League's inception.

The spending spree of former manager,Mark Hughes, brought a new bunch of top class players to Eastlands including former Arsenal duo, Emmanuel Adebayor and captain Kolo Toure, and former Villa favourite, Gareth Barry. The side pushed all the way for Champions League football,narrowly missing out to Spurs by a single goal. However,City produced magnificent performances throughout the season, claiming victory at home over Arsenal and Chelsea, and also a fanstatic 4-2 win over the Premier League Champions, Chelsea,on their home turf, Stamford Bridge. Dramatic matches against United also provided entertainment for the City fans, who saw former United striker,Carlos Tevez,strike against his former club,and also a fantastic brace from Craig Bellamy at Old Trafford.

January signings of former Arsenal legend,Patrick Vieira and young Middlesborough talent, Adam Johnson,added speed and strength to a growing City squad. Johnson's outstanding goal at the Stadium Of Light was voted City's Goal Of The Season and earned the 23 year old a firm place in the hearts of the Citizens fans.

Great things are expected of the Eastlands outlet in the future, with world class signings continuing to arrive at the City Of Manchester Stadium. Roberto Mancini's men will push for honours as the seasons go on,gaining influence and respect from football fans across the planet in the process.
