• There are no verses in the Quran that directly prohibit Music, however, there are indications. Ch. 31 Verse 6. The people of knowledge say that the idle tales in this line refers to musical instruments.
• The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said From among my followers, there will be those who consider illicit sex, wearing of silk, drinking intoxicants and using musical instruments as legal. (Bukhari, volume 7, Book of Drinks, hadith no. 5590)
