I'm not so sure. We met him recently in Gisborne. He really seemed to enjoy the interaction with people & when he didn't feel like playing anymore he was so strong in the water he was able to take the boogie board away & swim to a depth where no-one would follow him. Then he played happily on his own. He is completely free & there are many other Dolphins out there that he can be friendly with. He chooses to be alone & to amuse himself by interacting with people. I don't have any answer.

He chooses the contact. I think humans need to actually step in. He's going to get himself killed...just like Luna.
