That's mercantalism, a discredited myth of two centuries ago. As to whites taking black Africans for slaves, black slavery began a thousand years earlier by Arab muslim raiding parties. In the intervening time, black tribal leaders gleefully participated in the slave system and were more than happy to sell the slaves to europeans. But thanks to white christians, slavery is largely gone. And American blacks are the freest, most prosperous blacks in world history.
