Disconnected A Jonas Love Story Chapter 2 {Lines, Vines, and Slightly Jealous Times}

Nick's POV Everyone was freaking out lately because we were all planning Leah's surprise Sweet 16 in three days. We rented the building, paid the caterers, found the DJ, all that fun stuff. It was so hectic around here lately. It was like planning a wedding, but worse. Since it was Leah, everything had to go perfectly. I mean, it had to be the best night of her life. Today we were going down to Hostage, which is the place we rented out, to decorate. I drove to Leah's house to pick up Summer and her mom and step dad who had been helping out more than anyone. We got to the hall and Skylar, Andy, Joe, and Kevin were all ready there sorting through the bags from the party store. "Where've you guys been?" Kevin asked. "We're here now. What does it matter?" Summer replied and I laughed.

We partnered up and each of the partners did a different task. I was with Summer and we were in charge of invitations. So we drove back to her house and went to the big den that contained the enormous household Mac. She sat in the giant leather chair behind the desk and I grabbed a folding chair from the closet. I sat down next to her and she logged onto her account. "Alright, it's an extreme tea party theme. So we're gonna need something sassy, fun, cute, and spunky. Light colors and lots of florals. And with a cute embroidery! Yeah. That's it." she muttered to herself and I laughed. "You really know what you're talking about, don't you Summer?" She shrugged and went back to the computer screen. "I'll print one final copy off and we can take it down to the general store to make copies." I nodded and watched her fool around with different layouts and backgrounds and fonts and ugh, my head was hurting by the time she finished.


Summer's POV I finally finished and shook my head in satisfaction at my work. The invitations were awesome. Really, they were. They were on thick ivory paper with a floral pastel embroidery with thin and loopy, lovely cursive writing that Nick actually handwrote himself because we couldn't find a perfect font. That boy was neater than any girl I'd ever met and half the fonts on the computer. I smiled at our work as Nick finished the last word on the invite. "There," he smiled and pulled the card away from him to let the heavy ink dry. We decided to go down to the hall to see if everyone agreed on the invitation, even though they really didn't have a choice. "Whoa, these are awesome!" Andy smiled and nodded. "Yeah, Leah's gonna love this. We should send hers first." Joe smiled. I put my hand to my forehead and sighed, "Joe, we're not sending her one. It's HER party. Not to mention SURPRISE party." His face fell. "Oh, well can I give her one after the party?" "Sure." Nick replied, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. "These are really well written." Mrs. Jonas remarked and Nick's eyes grew wide. "Nick... wrote... them..." I coughed out and everyone began to giggle to themselves. "Thanks Summer." he muttered sarcastically and sulked. "C'mon. We better go get these printed off." I grabbed his arm and we walked out to the car. We drove to the store and asked the lady to make us around 120 copies. We waited for the longest time until I seen a head of shiny black waves. The girl was small, about 5'4 and she had on a pair of khaki short shorts with a white v-neck and Converse hightops. Her head was covered with a fedora that was... hey that was mine! "Nick!" I whispered and pinched his arm. "Ouch! What was that for?" he asked. "Look!" I pointed lowly to where Leah stood, browsing through the magazines. "What're we gonna do?" he asked and I shrugged. "How am I suppose to know? Let's just wait, maybe she won't see u-"



Okayyyy, episode 2. Still sucky. I'm aware. Just hang in there. It WILL get better. I promise.
