@captainsibbs Ive been to Vang Vieng and there is just drunk british 20 somethings drinking beerlao, tubing and partying all day all night 365 days a year. I suppose you HAVEN't been to many places if Vang Vieng takes the cake. In Vang Vieng, the so called "backpackers" care only about themselves and treat the few lao people that are left like shit. Totally ruined place. Look at those scumbags at 2:40.. disgusting

To me, I did not know what Vang Vieng was, or what was there. I was traveling with friends who said it was suppose to be a fun place, we stayed for three days. We went tubing mid Dec 2011 and yes it was a blast, and I want to go back, but it does not take the cake. I was extremely drunk from about 2pm onwards, I had more fun then most in this video, but at the end of the day, I find enjoying a few by the mekong on the boat was the best.

I understand the need to drink and have fun, but why pay the money to travel to SE Asia. Why not get a flight to tenerife or some spanish island, and have fun in the waterparks or something.

It was not bprs which started the tubeing. It was just they who got the economy to flourish in Vang Vieng. And you do not fucking have had to travel the world to think that the tubing is fun. Because I've been over ENTIRE world and I have had incredibly funny moments in Vang Vieng

I understand what you mean by "backpackers". They're not real backpackers. Are you supposed to be a real backpacker you need to go to India and Peru. Backpacker does not mean one that travels with only a backpack ..
