i want drums that sound like what the hard rock bands use. Not quite so much electronic sounding. Not quite so much Techno feeling. Just like regular drums.
Doing most of my "work" from the 770, but I'm missing some of the sounds that came from my now-dead 660. Next year's tax return hopefully brings me da 880, but the classic 660 sounds will 4eva be misssssed!!!!! :p
@sweepstakes Truth be told, when I first learning MIDI (1993 or so) it occured to me that if my Poly 800 could trigger my sampler then 660 should be able to as well. I probably tried for about 30 minutes and moved on when I was unable. I'll try it again but I'm using the M Audio Axiom 61 these days and it's drumpads took to triggering my sampler like a fish to water. You know how it is "path of least resistance". All we really want to do is get the music out, right? Peace.

this compared to the dr-770?? what do you think?

Can the DR-660's drum pads or A/B banks be programed to different midi channels? No information in the Manual about this.
For example the DR-670 has a Drum and Bass which claims to be able to
divide Bass on one Midi channel and drums on another.
