@vettedog ahh now i get gosh i wish my dad and i would have just done that we did coil packs computer checked for a vacum leack ill get it out 2moro and change it probably going t have to tweak some other stuff on account of sitting for 3 years.
@MrFRoDiZle its not that they are problem machines, the cars are almost 20 years old they are bound to have some issues. they can be problems for people who are not familiar with the cars/engines. I have 10+ years of experience working on these W-body's and the 60* V6s and have grown to these things as much as a honda guys are attached to there civics. Its all about knowing how it works and how to troubleshoot it properly.
@MrFRoDiZle I dont believe so. I do remember mine was a PITA because the tip had snapped off inside the block. if memory serves it was near the timing cover. it will either be just behind the harmonic balancer or near the transmission. it's been quite a few years since I replaced mine. it should just be 1-bolt pull out, slide in rebolt. just look for a connector with the same connection and mounting as your replacement.
@MrFRoDiZle check the crankshaft position sensor, its been known to develop a crack and quits reading then stalls...sometimes starts up when it cools down other times wont start period. hope that helps you
@Chvcmrrcr But these cars are problem machines or money pits i bought mine from my father an have a phantom staling issue in my z-34 after 100s of hours of work i give up.
