This is showcasing Aaliyah's vocal range on her debut album, "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number." She began recording the album around 13/14; however, the majority of it was done when she was 14.

One thing that I can NOW understand and appreciate from Aaliyah is how she could sing a song with the UTMOST vocal subtlety. She didn't (and never really had to) oversing or oversell a song to get the message across. She gave the song vocal justice (i.e. At Your Best...omg...just nothing short of beautiful) and let the song speak for itself which is why I believe her artistry was so unique and was different from the rest. Nevertheless, I do wish she still would have shown us ALL that she could do vocally (she definitely held out on us, I think, lol).

Album Tracks & Vocal Ranges
1. Intro (E3 - G4)
2. Throw Your Hands Up (G3 - G4)
3. Back & Forth (F3 - F5)
4. Age Ain't Nothing But A Number (E3 - A4)
5. Down With the Clique (Bb3 - Ab4)
6. At Your Best [You Are Love] (G3 - E5)
7. No One Knows How to Love Me... (G3 - C5)

  • For some reason I highly doubt she was 13 or 14 but idk

  • @oku12 She was actually 14, because she had just turned 15 when she made the video for "Back and Forth" and when it was released as a single. She was also 15 when her album released. So, she was 14 when she recorded the album. She probably wasn't 13, though; I only typed that because on one of her songs, she sounds REALLY young. Thanks for watching. :)

  • @VaunTV Thank you. You're right, it is long, lol. Sorry, I just wanted to make sure I got as many notes as possible. But, I'll make sure to keep the future videos a bit shorter. Again, thanks :-)
