Designed for enthusiasts by enthusiasts, the EVGA P55 is built with the new Intel® P55 Express Chipset, supporting the Intel® Core™ i7 and Intel® Core™ i5 processors in the LGA1156 package. The revolutionary two-chip layout enables lower power consumption and more advanced performance tuning for a smoother, more realistic experience. EVGA has brought incredible overclockability to this board using 100% Solid State capacitors, raising the standard DDR3 memory specification, hitting speeds of 2200 MHz or faster. Six SATA and two eSATA ports deliver greater flexibility. Build your system quickly with 90-degree rotated SATA ports and easy-to-locate, aligned front-panel headers at the edge of the board. The new EVGA E-LEET Tuning Utility software allows for adjusting overclocks directly in the O.S. and an onboard CPU temperature monitor lets you keep an eye on your CPU to keep it from overheating. With incredible support for up to eight threads of raw processing power, dual-channel DDR3 memory, and flexible support for NVIDIA SLI technology, the EVGA P55 brings the best weapons to any application or game. Todays extreme gaming, digital photography, and video editing demand breakthrough technology. The EVGA P55 supports the latest processors, and Intels cutting-edge technology delivers even greater performance and power efficiency.

  • @BSZanatsu learn to spell

  • if you have pretty fat video cards do not buy this board. i have to squezz my 2 engtx460's and the top one runs hot because there is no air flow for the card. just a warning.

  • Will this Mobo support a i3 or only i5/i7?

  • @ImperialUprising only the cooler would fit. You need an 1156 i7

  • @WoWkiddymage hell yeah but i spent the extra $100 and put a quad on it"i5-760"@4ghz

  • So an i7 with a LGA1366 socket fan can fit on this motherboard? :O

  • @Hax0rPr0n hey dude! hyper threading aside, the i7's and i5's are in essence the same chip in gaming situations. hell, i dont even think off the top of my head that any games (maby crysis 2) can even use hyper threading so your argument is invalid. oc the i5 to whatever your i7 is running and wham

  • Not really, the i7 IS faster and better for gaming. lol.
