A great evening hosting by Andy Hogan from the Isle of Arran Distillery. A packed room of whisky lovers enjoyed the delights of the lightly peated 10 year old, the unpeated 14 year old, port & sherry cask finishes and the beautifully presented Arran Sleeping Warrior, named after the summits and rises on the north end of the Isle of Arran, which resembles a resting human figure. A donation from the sale of every bottle of Sleeping Warrior goes to the National Trust of Scotland who help maintain the footpaths on Goat Fell, Arran's highest peak which are constantly eroded by the many visitors who use them.

The Isle of Arran distillery first started production on 29th June 1995, the first legal spirit for 160 years, and was officially opened by the Queen in 1997
The distillery has two small stills from which a lightly peated malt whisky is produced. A quality malt whisky that only became first available in 2001.
