Looks like a cool place. If I ever get to Roanoke, it will be my 1st stop.
PS: Isnt C&0 614 on loan there right now? I rode behind 614 as a kid.

problem is the midwest is the real hubof railroad activity today and back then as most westbound trains terminated in chicago and most westbound railroads started there

I'm glad that the VMT had this commercial made. They can always use more visitors and volunteers.

Yep, it really doesn't matter, most people who would see it would know or (biting lip) wouldn't care, and some people would actually be interested.

Every time the guy says "Steam Locomotive" a diesel is shown.

Thanks for the comments. Couple things:
1. Just because the VO says it, doesnt necessarily mean it needs to be shown.
2. This went through several rounds of revisions, and no one had a problem with it.
3. The average viewer of the commercial isnt going to know the difference between a diesel or steam locomotive.
4. This was done for free for the VMT museum as my way of giving back.

Well I'm not complaining but the argument for "The average viewer of the commercial isnt going to know the difference between a diesel or steam locomotive." I don't feel is valid. Why continue to make a visual display (commercial) which seems to make no attempt to educate the difference at that point? It's a nice commercial and I'm glad you made it but I just wanted to argue a point. This may be the first impression people get, and if the idea is to educate, I feel that every small part helps.

Quite honestly, I didnt know the difference between the two when I made the video. They gave me about 400 pictures to chose from, and I cut a bunch together and animated it--
This video wasnt about "educating" people, it was about getting people to the museum.
