Whoever says that all beliefs and norms within any particular culture or religion are right? Of course, born from ideas and borne by faith, its supposed total sanctity is an attempt to perfection. The imperfections should be sought. Christianity as presented by Jesus Christ is perfect but not its practice by claimed adherents. Your question on Christian origin lacks dignity so will not elicit an unequal answer.
