The result is a spectacular and colourful festival, as Yvonne Ndege found out in the northern state of Kano.

  • @uchelike: the books tell us Jesus was born in Nazareth, present day Palestine (not Europe).

  • Whoever says that all beliefs and norms within any particular culture or religion are right? Of course, born from ideas and borne by faith, its supposed total sanctity is an attempt to perfection. The imperfections should be sought. Christianity as presented by Jesus Christ is perfect but not its practice by claimed adherents. Your question on Christian origin lacks dignity so will not elicit an unequal answer.

  • Mbiti (1990) defines African Religion as

"The product of the thinking and experiences of our forefathers and mothers that is men, women and children of former generations. They formed religious ideas, they formulated religious beliefs, they observed religious ceremonies and rituals, they told proverbs and myths which safeguarded the life of the individual and his community" (pp. 13 - 14).

  • According to Biafrans7, "Christianity did not originate from Europe." Can you inform us where Christianity originated?
