@Psychedelic925. You choose to look at a squeeze clip, So fuck off, SOUTH LONDON RULES

@jakehenryuk NO they didn't swop instruments for a joke on TOTP. Jools is quite a good guitar player, albeit not in Claptons class, and can bang out a good rhythm line:-)
-
I saw it the first time it was played on TOPP- I thought it then one of the best songs I had ever heard- and 30 years later I still do!
-
@jakehenryuk They wanted to play LIVE, the BBC said they had to mime, so mime they did, with each others instruments! Sheer Class!!

HAHAHHAHA OMG THIS IS SO DATED IT REMINDS ME OF THE HOST FROM THE LOVE CONNECTION(YES IM TYPING IN CAPS) ANYWAYS BACK TO THIS BAND, WTF IS GOING ON!! WHY WOULD ANYONE LIKE THIS OH WAIT NOW I KNOW WHY CAUSE THEYRE SOBER? I get quirky nerdy music kind of like Fishbone which would blow any of this away. or even Cheap Tricks first album.

@uclrichard You mean Mike Read the DJ as opposed to Mike Reid the comedian. And I very much doubt he banned The Smiths having promoted punk and new wave on his evening show himself. He also says that he was told not to play FGTH by the BBC.
god - mike reid was complete fucking arsehole, or what? he's the same cunt that banned frankie goes to hollywood and the smiths. is he still alive? let's hope not.

But lyric ever - they really caught the zeitgeist of an age with this one - "..... The Devil came and took me, from bar to street to bookie" Epoch defining!
