@punkinbelle I hope you accept mine. Yes, it is like an awaking to focus on him. I have to confess that I am a rabid fan. That may mean a crush, but I rather think it is an obsession! A beautiful obsession. There is something about him. A tenderness beyond his good looks, sex appeal, deeply erotic voice, sense of humor... oh, hell, *fangirl scream* I've got my first celeb crush! LOL And I love it! He is a wonderful distraction from all things painful. And Eric, is God's gift to women!

@MsAKSfan Please accept my deepest condolences. I'm glad Alex brings you comfort. Interestingly, after the Paley presentation ended five people, four women and one man came up to me. All were badly wounded emotionally and all said the same thing, "I thought I was crazy, but he helps me too." While I do like to watch Alex's performances as much as any fan would, and I owe him a lot for his kindness and the comfort he's brought me, I can't truthfully say I have a crush on him.

@punkinbelle No what? I'm a widow as well. Alex looks a lot like my late husband did at his age. Its not like he could be his twin or anything, but there is just enough of similarity that I love watching Alex! I feel something like you in that it has lifted my spirits to find Eric Northman and then Alex himself. I loved GenKill. I will watch anything he is in from this day forward! I'm an avid fan. LOL I've NEVER had a celeb crush! This is a first for me... and I love it!

I'm the lady who gave Alexander the letter. ginamarie, I'm sorry you find my sorrow cringeworthy but MsAKSfan is right, I did lose my husband who was the center of my life. His loss was devastating and I am not recovering. But it isn't Eric who helps, it's Alexander himself. Watching him perform gives me a sense of peace removed from either character or plot. GenKill works just as well. He was so kind and so compassionate. I can't thank him enough.
