After being frequently asked how I managed to keep my videos from being blocked by copyright claims by Warner Music Group, I decided to start a website devoted to describing how to deal with copyright problems on YouTube and similar user generated video sites - http://fairusetube.org. This video marks the official launch of that site, which provides a detailed Guide to YouTube Copyright Removals, instructions for disputing copyright claims on YouTube and other user generated video sites, and links to valuable resources for learning about copyright and fair use law online.

NOTE: This video only describes the process for disputing videos block by YouTube's automated Content ID system. For videos that are blocked by DMCA takedown notices, you have to file a DMCA counter-notification to get the video restored.

@LaPuertorra69 can you pull him up by entering 2010TheCountdown channel?? The only other way I can pull up channels without vids is to add the channel to my 'others' channel then you get a direct link to them! screwtube BLOWS...my channel got flagged yesterday...I am on a countdown, too! Start going through my vids...download anything you like, want, can share they are taking me down. Not without a fight though!

Sorry but this is just a band aid solution. You file the counter claim, and then 3 to 4 weeks later your video is back to being blocked. There's no way you're going to win against these large record labels, and You Tube doesn't consider anybody worth risking a lawsuit. Thing that is baffling to me is that You Tube would help everybody if the links for buying a song were actually working instead of being left blank in nearly every instance. Maybe the labels wouldn't object so much.

@tsukasa2k6 I would think so, but don't quote me. You would have to go to their web and dig around a ll more to be sure, unless you just upload it and go through the steps on how to dispute copyright. I had 50 vids on a diiferent channel, 48 cleared. Two I made private. Nothing worse than logging on to a pink screen. muah! Most music clears. Although now I am finding stuff I disputed a year ago I am having to clear again. It's like they send out a bot to censor our activity, so lame.
