On Jan. 3, 2007 the DOW closed at 12,621.77, the GDP for the previous quarter was %3.5, unemployment was at %4.6. The US had 52 straight months of job creation. On Jan. 3 the Dems took over the House and Senate. Barney took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. Where were the economic crashes? Banking and Financial. Oh and Bush asked congress 17 times to stop Fannie and Freddie but Barney called it "a Chicken Little Philosophy."

@KabulNew Bush got unemployment down to 4.4% AFTER 9-11, 2 wars, the worst terrorist attack in American history, and one of the most devastating natural disasters (Katrina) in American history.
"Fucked America"? That didn't happen until the Democrats took control fo Congress & Senate and controlled the spending after 2006. It only got worse when the brain-dead morons who are allowed to vote put an unaccomplished fraud in the White House who took unemployment to over 10.

So why did the Republicans lose? Because they had already DOUBLED the national debt. The only thing the Democrats did wrong was continue to play along with Bush. He should have been IMPEACHED for treason.
