Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility - The Seedling of Hope Part 4 (The Secret Key and the Harvest Sprites)

Using all of your previous hints from Part 3, you can now begin your quest for the Secret Key and the real Seedling of Hope. Based on what Hamilton told you, the key is located in the Church ("Look for a building...that's very quiet...and very sacred"). On a sunny day, head to the Church and once again, refer to Hamilton's hints, and you will realize that the Secret Key is located at the Altar ("And look under your feet...where a ray of light is shining down...") When you walk in the Church, you well see light illuminating from the Altar, so just walk up to it and press A. Finally, after getting the Key in your possession, you must refer all the way back to what Gill had told you in the first place, "In my backyard..." So you clearly know that the Secret Key is used somewhere inside of Gill and Hamilton's home. Head to their house on a sunny day at a time when Hamilton is NOT inside. If he is inside, he will stop you when you try to go through the door. But on sunny/clear days, he leaves his house at 12PM. Take the key out of your bag and press A at the door in their kitchen. You will go outside and automatically pick up the seedling. Although Hamilton gets a bit angry at first, you can finally go and plant it at the Harvest Goddess Spring. After you do, exist the spring and immediately re-enter to experience a scene in which the Harvest Sprites are celebrating the founding of the real seedling.

After that...
The Mother Tree will only experience a new stage of growth based on your friendship with the villagers and your livestock. To put it simply:
10 hearts = 1000 points
5000 points = The full-grown Mother Tree
If you have been working on becoming friends with the villagers, and have plenty of happy animals, you should already have met the requisite 5000 points. If this is so, it should only take about 3-5 in-game days until the tree is at it's final stage. If you do not have the 5000 points, work on raising your friendship with the villagers and your livestock until you've reached the final stage.

Yes, but the sequel to this game is coming out sometime later this year, Harvest Moon: Animal Parade (also on the wii)

so if you were planning to buy this, I'd say just for the sequel. It is a lot better, a large improvement.

also; everytime i try 2 water the flowers that are the sprite things, it never does anything. :( or it'll just say "a beautiful red flower is in bloom"

Did you get both halves of the quilt from Hamilton? The right and left half? If you haven't, then you cant start making rainbows.

You can play the game for as many years as you want.

To get the other half of the quilt you have to ship a 1,000G worth of items. It can't be made from doing part time jobs. I suggest you start a new file if you're on year 4 and don't have the right half yet.
