that box isn't a mic pre, it's a power supply. the audio is untouched. the tube is in the mic and requires high voltage.
Otherwise I'm really happy to see a review, even a preliminary one, of this mic since I'm considering buying one.
thanks for the video review - just wanted to clarify the facts so you know what's really going on in the design. there is no mic pre included with the mic, you still need a mic preamp to record with.
not complaining- just helping out and clarifying :-)
