  • I also neglected to mention that the no win no fee industry is part of the reason why car insurance premiums are rising, despite falling accident rates!

    The compensation culture invites people to become complacent and it is also ruining the economy. It is impossible to make anything truly safe and people need to chose to accept certain risks. Health and safety rules are preventing people from enjoying themselves due risks which are negligibly low. Lastly, why does anyone need to make an injury claim if their medical expenses are paid for by the national health service and there are no costs to them? The reason is to make a quick buck!

  • Why should we expect the government and employers to baby everyone because they can't look after themselves. I agree that workplaces and recreational areas etc. should be reasonably safe but people are now suing because they are tripping over paving slabs!
