It is heartbreaking for the parents and devastating for the children.There is some comfort for the parents in that the people buying the children will take care of them as if they were their own children and will not abuse them or harm them.This is not the case in the U.S. where kidnapped children disappear and are never seen again. Taking a child from its parents is a terrible crime which leaves the family inconsoleable.

To be fair, although the children sex trade industry is quite rampant in many developing countries, due to China's unique One Child policy, I do believe that most of these boys ARE in fact sold to parents who want sons. As to whether their lives will be better, that's hard to say. I am not FOR the government suppressing the parents' voice, but acknowledging this problem would require recognizing that the One Child policy has major downfalls.

The one child option will not work Too many men who can't find wives as many female fetuses have been aborted, resulting in a huge gender imbalance. The only long term solution is Eugenics. In a every increasing technical world, the lower intelligence individuals should be restricted from breeding. Harsh I know, but tell me a better solution to overpopulation.
