This 20-minute documentary tells the story of a young Lebanese man exploring Burj Barajneh camp with his Palestinian friend.

Alaa spent the day with Omar and got to learn more about the daily life of Palestinian refugees in camps and their living conditions in Lebanon. The film sheds light on the lives of young Palestinians in general, and their aspirations and challenges in Lebanon.

This documentary comes as part of the "Dignity for All" project, launched by UNRWA and funded by the European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Office (ECHO). The project calls for changing the mutual perceptions between the Lebanese and Palestine refugee communities using a key message "Palestinians are refugees in Lebanon but they deserve to live in dignity until a just solution to their plight is found".

  • This is very moving and inspiring. It creates a lot of awareness about the situation of Palestinians in Lebanon. Great work!

  • Shukran...thank you for sharing, for posting a piece genuine, heartfelt. I hope this is being shown in schools in the USA, that people can see more clearly, with a perspective free of prejudice, bias, unfounded fears and assumption. May the right to return be realized peacefully and with immediacy.
