Protest in Scotland during July 2005. During that time, the Scottish Socialist Party helped people to voice their opinion. Like the Red Clydesiders of 1919 they kept the red flag flying high. The SSP MSP's were fined and thrown from their elected offices for telling the truth during that time - like the Red Clydesiders.

and as for comparing scotland with sth america - I didn't. I merely replied to u asking me for examples of productive socialist states. I gav e u Venezuela as an example. It supplies a huge percentage of the US's oil. Something old Bush doesn't like - as the money the US pay Venezuela is going towards successful social programmes.

The rail companies were drafting people in from as far away as Kent to try to break an ~RMT strike - look up the net - again u will find it is a useful tool for research. The current administration in Venezuela has lifted millions out of poverty and millions are receiving free education and free medcare for the 1st time in their lives.Meanwhile, in privatised Scotland, we have a situation where rail companies are drafting in people to do work they are not trained for-in order to ensure wages are kept down and their profits are increased.Tell me - why are we allowing these profit takers keep us in low-wage misery?And tell me ONE capitalist country without poverty?

We need a republic that is controlled by the citizens of this great nation...........cos thats what we are...........a NATION! Not just a region of the UK! Also I hate being referred to as British..........born in Falkirk so Id say Im fuckin SCOTTISH!

If Scotland was ready for Independance, I would support SSP. But, like SNP, I don't think their independance policy is in the best interest of the country... Not just yet, anyway.
