Have you checked Amazon dot com? I see some copies for sale there right now. True, it's not super cheap but not out of reach if you really want it. Also the VHS tapes are cheap. And I just noticed that if you go to Amazon co uk you can get it for pretty cheap (NEW) and even with shipping I'll bet it would cost well under $20 US dollars. You'll have to view the UK DVD on your computer's DVD drive (using region free software like VLC player--most of the time this works).

If you live in the U.S. and want to find this on DVD, I suggest you check with your local video rental stores. I bought a copy from my local Family Video store last week (previously Viewed) for $4.99 + tax.= $5.35. I got the original jacket in perfect shape, DVD has no scratches and plays perfectly. So check around, at least while there are some video stores left and you might get lucky and find it.

You CAN still buy this film, BUT its DVD is no longer manufactured in the US. So, if you live in the US, you have to pay pretty much ripped off price ranging from US$25-80 on Amazon. If you live in UK or reside in the US but also have a region-free DVD player, you can purchase Region-2 DVD from Britain.

Unfortunately, this film has never even come out as DVD in my country, Japan.
