In this video I am going over the basics of making a simple penny stove.
The stove will be the first part of the home made system for emergency cooking.
At a future adte I will be making a griddle, and a pot stand that can be used in conjunction with the simple penny stove.

Remember: Safety is paramount. Have some wet towels with you when lighting these stoves. if something happens, they can be thrown on the fire before it gets out of hand.

Disclaimer: The author of this video is not responsible for injuries occuring while attempting to build such a stove.
It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure they are careful in preventing injury. If you do not feel
comfortable playing with fire, then don't. There are a number of products that are available commercially
that are safer for you.

  • London! I bet you spend way to much money at Forest City Surplus.

  • poke the holes before putting the two halfs together and the cans are less likely to split from the compression of the air .

  • WRONG!!!!!

  • hi from shelburne, ontario. Gonna make me one of these. Also working on a solar oven and a parabolic fryer/water boiler. Always good to be prepared. My brother lived in ottawa without heat for two weeks during that ice storm. Just his propane neon glass burner. He would have liked one of these : p
