This is the Intro video for Crysis 2, shown after surviving the Ceph Gunship attack on the sub, as extracted and enhanced from the Original Videos.pak folder.
(Nanosuit 2 looks fantastic doesn't it?)
Compare with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLKv2lVasoo&feature=related

The other video is slightly more washed out

1:03, other vid, more data is lost to compression(look at dust.debree above the blast and windows) or some is gained to super res(my vid)

1:06, hexagons are more visible on neckplate in my vid

1:51 @ cameralook heaxagons are more visible in my vid and the proportion difference is clear.

2:02 the bullet is less washed out on my vid

2:26 APC textures are clearer on my vid

Not an attack on clayman90's video, as his was the best comparison I could find

Process:
-Extracted Videos.Pak with Open BMS (quickbms) Crysis 2 Script

-Found BatteryPark_st_40534656.usm

-Demuxed with VGM toolbox

This gave us BatteryPark_st_40534656.m2v and a bunch of ADX files.
The m2v was an unusual file, it was MPEG1 @ 4811kbps, with a resolution of 1920*720 at 30 FPS. It was 1920px wide instead of 1280px wide because there was an extra 'pane' as I would call it, with the same video stream as seen ingame with a dramatically squeezed one on the right with a 640*720 resolution. My guess is this is for 3D, but it is totally useless for me.

The ADX Files consisted of several files of ingame speech in different languages, and the ingame music.

Used VGM stream to decode audio files from ADX to WAV
Used Audacity to mux music with speech and encode into 320k mp3

Used Video Enhancer to convert to a format virtualdub can read.
MSU lossless Codec

Used VirtualDub for a few filters
null transform to remove the extra 'pane', x2 offset 640
msu smart sharpen (small and NOT borders)
muxed audio in
MSU lossless still

Used Video Enhancer to improve resolution
Super resolution 1440p, Quality
MSU lossless

Used VirtualDub to export to final version
x264(vfw) two pass 9999kbps (I figured out how to make this work, much better than XVID)

I thought about using MSU smart deblock this time, but it seemed to mess with the awesome HDR effects.
Also, I changed a few settings in MSU lossless to make the filesize reasonable to work with untill upload time.

...And that is the end result.
Overall (I think) it looks alot better, and certaintly better than the screencaptures that have been uploaded before, although I can see a few small areas where the Super Resolution actually mistook the blocking for detail and enhanced that as well.

Previous uploaded HD videos may claim to be 1080p, or on 'maxed' settings, but they are all the same 720p as what is shown ingame is just a video.

UPDATE: I was getting far too many comments, so they are now disabled.
