In this video I perform the basic checkmates against a computer opponent on ICC. I try to explain the thoughts behind my procedures, better than I have in past videos. Also the fact that I've practiced these quite a bit since then has helped.

This video contains:
King and Rook vs. King
King and Queen vs. King
King and 2 Bishops vs. King
King Bishop and Knight vs. King
King and Queen vs. King and Knight

  • the 2 knights vs pawn is missing!!

  • @ANSIcode ICC doesn't have a bot for that. Just as well. I don't consider it a basic checkmate because a win is not possible in every position with those pieces.

  • is that icc or fics?

  • @lakermangmx ICC Blitzin

  • great video matt, keep it up! :D

  • Isn't it ironic that the basic checkmates often turn out to be longer and more confusing than advanced mates? :)
