I am going off a bit on how the government health care system will bring my family into a bad situation.

Either we will have to choose to work two extra days a week and pay for health care, or we can take those extra days off and just get on the government milk wagon.

A hard fate to a hard working American family!

  • Why aren't the rich taxed to hell and back! That's what ultimately pisses me off. I'm living paycheck to paycheck and I can't afford the company provided insurance. Yea I could get food stamps... etc, but I just don't want to be part of the government handout. I'm taking what little extra money I have each paycheck and teaching myself how to grow a small garden.

Something my grandfather once told me, If you don't work, you don't eat.

That saying has just always stuck.

  • @DarkFoot25 Well the thing is, we ALL have to learn to LEAVE each other alone. In my opinion that includes the rich. No required health care, no income taxes, no property taxes. Don't make up laws for each other.

Let the rich be rich, & the poor be poor, but don't put laws out for each other.

I have many money saving vids if you haven't seen them yet. Follow some of the steps & you can live CHEAP.

  • what is networks?

  • Man, that is a sucky situation! Everything the gov't touches gets RUINED. Social security, education, etc. EVERYTHING.

  • Since your self employed find a way to collect money off the financial grid and make every effort to live in noncompliance with the out of control federal government.

  • Good post. It's the unintended consequences. Interference distorts the incentives and allocations of a free market. The ObamaCare requirement to pay for employees healthcare will make employees less attractive, and thus contribute to unemployment.

  • I kind of look up to this guy :)

  • I wrestle with the same thing! With EBT, WIC, utility assistance, cobra, ahccs(arizona free health care), section 8 housing, free school uniforms for children, EITC, paying no taxes at minimum wage, etc. When added together you get a net benefit higher than a person in the middle class that works and pays to live. What gets me by is that the few extra dollars in my pocket enable me to buy research material and investments that will put my family ahead(even if only slightly) vs the bottom.

  • Its a lose lose situation! The damn government spends so much time taking from the people and it fucking irritates the snot out of me! Is there any way you can talk to a senator or someone who could make a change? Fucking bullshit! If push comes to shove...find a way to screw the system..I know its harsh, but they are trying to fuck you...eye for an eye! Take care my friend!

  • The simple answer is that you avoid declaring your proper income by hiding invoices and business deals. So if the threshold for healthcare tax is 54k then only declare 50k a year income. Also, mostly do your business in cash and avoid banks. You probably know that already.

  • Cap personal income at 1 million a year per person in each household ... NOBODY NEEDS MORE THAN THAT.... end the concept of being "ultra-wealthy" ... it's an old world idea and doesn't fit the reality of 6.5 Billion people on this planet. Too few people have the money. Too many are starving, homeless and hopeless. End the foolish allowance of companies that make money from money, and not from manufacturing something.

This damn planet could have been a paradise, were it not for selfish greed.

  • I understand what your saying, But it feels as if the poor/middle class are being herded into a pure dependence on government brought on by the rich to make themselves richer. Because lets face it, if peoples every need is taken care of - housing/clothing food etc provided by the government, then those people are more likely to just agree to whatever they are told by mainstream media. And I'm for the American government.. just not a corrupt one.

  • It is just unbelievable prices for insurance. The private insurance prices in Germany for a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children), this covers all costs (including drugs) is about 350 €. A policy for 1 adult with 600 € minimum per year payed by the insurance taker and rest covered is about 200 €. From these prices the employer pays half, if working. Good luck with your business.
