Its a funny idea but...

1. How will you regulate the movement of the whole aparatus?

2. Where does the energy to overcome gravity come from? If these are fixed magnets, the would have to be so strong that the rod would stay up there, electrical magnets would use a outside source of energy, the weight of the rod cannot become greater once on top, if that would be possible then it MIGHT work but youd have to find a way to suddenly make the weight increase once it reaches the top and
