Brillant reply Skatey , politely done and proved a point.

@Mattie150 please, she didnt steal "another guys video".she was sharing billy joel's music.do you know how many people upload lyrics for there favorite song???you probably did it too!if i uploade it,and saw they claimed copyright,i would have removed it,but youtube left all of those videos muted, leaving the user with millions of negative comments and unhappy fans.

I know Youtube can VERY irksome!
I wanted to remve one of my videos, would they let me? Would they B*ggary!
Well, I suppose they would, but they didn't tell me how!
And how am I supposed to close up my account, other than going round telling everyone that they are a Mother-F*cker? Hmm? Just tell me that?!
*ahem* sorry, rant over with...

omg this just pisses me off too! so sorry dude...they should have notified you!

Well you obviously figured it out, so YouTube got its message through without having to tell you.
Maybe they believed you were smart enough to realize your broke copyright law, but if you want to prove that they should assume you are stupid by this video go for it.
Furthermore YouTube has no legal responsibility to tell you why your video has been banned/edited. Those Terms of Agreement you lightly click "yes" to contain all that information.

I must agree with you on some points. Technically, I -did- break copywrite laws, and technically, YouTube has no responsibility to tell me. That part certainly is true.
As for your second paragraph, I disagree entirely with you on that. I'm not stupid for realizing that my video has been muted. I don't exactly visit my videos every day.
You see, a video like this is completely ruined without the audio. There's no point in having it up because no one knows what's going on.

Also, what happens if someone doesn't get why it was muted when they gave the artist credit. Some people would have no idea as to what happened. Who knows, maybe they'll just repost their video, thinking something went wrong.
And one other thing I don't understand. Since YouTube probably cut the audio at the request of Billy Joel, why? Couldn't this be considered free publicity? Make people want to go out and buy aan album just to see what other songs he's made?
It just doesn't make sense.

do you really think google, a multi-billion dollar company, is going to take there time and notify you, telling you did something illegal, no, they dont give a rats ass about you

That reminds me of the monopoly problem from years ago. When a big business used unfair strategies to be the only business of its kind, people would cover up with "It's business," Which apparently rules out any forms of morality.
That ties in here because it's common courtisy to tell someone when you ruin someone else's thing, such as a video of theirs. But, "It's business," so all rules of morality and courtisy are immedeatly ruled out. That's not right.

By the way, Yanke000, don't think I'm yelling at you. I'm just really p***ed off right now.
