*White dress* or *How to sit down wearing a crinoline*

About four years ago I was obsessed with the white dress Emmy Rossum wears during the song 'Think of me' in the movie-adaptation of 'The phantom of the opera'. I decided to give it a try and make a copy of it, but after over one year I gave up on completely finishing it because the sparkling little stones were too expensive.
I know how much I have learned in regards to sewing since then when I take a close look at it lol.

Yet fun to put it on occasionally^^
And damn it really looks 'fluffy' doesn't it?

Special thanks to my enchanting assistant who helped me putting it on and videotaping, on youtube she is known as 'Pyrabella'.

It really looks like Christine Daaé's dress (which was a replica of one of Sissi's dresses, if I'm not mistaken?) but this video immediately reminded me of the Sound of Music ("Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes..." :))

@ethalinia It was meant to look like Christine's dress, but it is not really a 'replica' of Sissi's famous white dress, more a lose reimagination of it.

oh cool, noch jemand der sich so in das Kleid verliebt hat wie ich =D Bist aber echt weit gekommen und sieht dem Original wirklihc ähnlich. Hast du da ne Corsage drunter?

@HelenaCullen08 Wenn ich das heute nochmal nähen würde, würde ich natürlich alles anders machen ;)

Ich hatte mir ursprünglich ein Korsett für drunter gebastelt, aber in dem Video hatte ich keins drunter, sonst hätte das Kleid geschlackert wie sonst was... außerdem war Hochsommer da wär noch was drunter echt zu viel gewesen^^
