the main intention of this youtube-account is to feature mixes and tracks somewhere between deep house- minimal techno-detroit/chicago.

well, it's sometimes hard to categorize and some tracks won't fit into that pattern at all. let's eclecticize a bit. anyway, it's music that i would like to share with others. constructive comments are highly appreciated!

And yes I'm a n00b when it comes to Yma Sumac. I hope to find much awesomeness out there. Does anyone know of a "greatest hits" or something I could start with? And it better have "Jivaro" on it...I couldn't find it on "The Ultimate" cd or any others on Amazon, and a list of her exact discography with all the songs is hard to find.

@inca1980 I don't know what you are talking about. She has been performing with the name Yma Sumac since she was a teenager in Lima singing on radio programs. And even to the last performances that she did on television into her 70's she always performed as Yma Sumac the PERUVIAN singer. JUst before her passing away she received the highest honors from the Peruvian government, the Orden Del Sol, and was received at the presidential palace. Her voice was never damaged, but vocal cords get old.
