Can you give me some details on what mounts you used to complete the swap?

Sounds like its running on 5 , check coilpack or leads .. Other wise you need at least 3bar fuel pump .. If its all fine does the Thottle body hum /make noise before you start it? If not then you need an new TB..
How does it handle?

Uh oh. Sounds like classic VW timing issues? Have a similar issue with a porsche 924...
How does this car handle with all that weight in the front though? I used to have a 1.3LS, felt great to drive. This must have loads of power, but scary in a Mk 1!
