THE 3 MAVERICK MODELS ARE A FASTBACK 2 DOOR SEDAN, 139,818 PRODUCED, A FOUR DOOR SEDAN WHICH IS SHOWN, 137,728 PRODUCED, AND THE GRABBER 2 DOOR FASTBACK OF WHICH 23,501 WERE MADE. @Travhouse You will be getting approx. 18 mpg city, 14 in the city. That inline 6 is a sturdy engine that should give you excellent gas mileage and better if engine is tuned. Good luck with your Comet and I congraduate you on an excellent old car purchase.

Hey im going to be buying a 1974 Mercury Comet here on Friday its the two door coupe with the 200 ci inline 6 cyl with the 3 speed auto wut kind of gas mileage will i be getting? Thank You to anyone that can answer this
