The US Army sponsors the World Cup Finals, Imports vs Domestics event at MIR and this year they brought a Black Hawk helicopter which they ended up racing against a Mercedes and Maxima

I'm sorry, but this was just a HUGE disappointment. I was there on the other side of the bleachers filming as well. The way the announcer had made it sound ever since that morning was that the chopper was going to HOVER over the starting line and take off along with both cars.

You can't see it from the angle, but the helicopter was about over top of the tower when the cars took off so both got a big jump on it. The way they executed the whole thing just seemed rushed and poorly coordinated.

@FireDemonSiC They were behind like crazy so have to give them a little space. Cars breaking and everything didn't help, typical World Cup Finals event, you'll get use to it after awhile.

While I am not going to argue with you about them being that year (That had ALOT of cars breaking vs the 09 finals), an extra 10 - 20 seconds to properly stage all the vehicles/aircraft wouldn't have made a difference at the end of the day.

They should make sure that everyone who paid to get get's their moneys worth on the main events. Same way that they had the burnout contest and the bikini contest going on at the same time on opposite sides of the bleachers.

They need to stop having a final qualifying round on Sundays, that would save A LOT of time.
