This site is going down tomorrow. Instead of dealing with phishers, they decided just to cut ends. Shame. Found it via wikipedia and was one of my favs in deciding which host to choose. Apparently I will have to hook a low-watt machine with own mailserver myself... damn.
@lin545 I actually own that website... reason for the shut down is because I actually got in trouble with my ISP for the spam email that was being sent and found it too time consuming to fish out the bad accounts everyday....
@Raybob95 Why not change methods.. for example offer per-invitation registration. if someone gets caught with spam, you can trash all accounts that were made by him or by those whom he invited. But I agree, that possibly it will require physical attention(money) to compensate the overwatch. I currently use free service from mail.ru, but they have grown into all-in-one and Im trashed with ads and payed services. They use captcha with math on registering btw, and still have some spam problem.
The thing is that since my ISP blocks port 25 all the email must be forwarded through their SMTP server... not only does this place a limit on the amount of email sent per day (somehow I didn't forsee this) it also makes them think that all the email sent through the site is personally sent by me.... something I don't want to be accountable for.
I'm still using my mail-server for administrative filesplat emails though
