Candida symptoms can be classified as acute or chronic. The severity of the symptoms can be attributed to the amount of yeast, candida that lives inside the body. A healthy body has the ability to regulate the growth of any excess candida thereby keeping the body balanced and healthy. Understanding candida symptoms is the first step to learning how to manage and get rid of your symptoms.
Candida becomes a problem as the body's natural defenses break down and the immune system can no longer regulate the growth of candida. This is when candida symptoms begin to manifest and create acute or chronic symptoms.
Acute candida happens when the growth occurs rapidly. Therefore the acute classification, this type of candida is usually contained to a specific area of the body. The two most common areas for these infections are oral candida or a vaginal infections. The good news is that if these infections are treated quickly the prognosis for a speedy recovery is excellent.
The common characteristics of acute candida depend on location but will normally have the following symptoms:
Soreness and pain
Upper back pain
Migraines
Blurred vision
Brain fog
Digestive disorders
Food allergies
Itchy red rashes
Oral thrush (sores in the mouth, throat, or tongue)
Pain or discomfort during intercourse
Painful or burning urination
Thick lumpy vaginal discharge
If acute candida, infection in one location, is left untreated then infections will start to manifest in more than one area of the body. This condition is known as chronic candida. This form of candida can be very dangerous.
The danger with chronic candida is that once it enters the bloodstream it can grow on joints, bones, tissues, and organs like the kidneys, heart, and liver to name a few and if candida attaches itself to an organ the ensuing inflammation can be fatal.
The problem with chronic candida symptoms is that they can vary from day to day. You may feel nothing one day and hardly be able to get out of bed the next. The body's immune system at times will seem to be winning the battle but can be overwhelmed as other infections begin to appear in other areas of the body.
The good news is that candida is treatable but you need to treat it immediately. Time is of the essence in order to prevent your condition from worsening to chronic candida. Knowledge of candida symptoms will help you to take action and treat your condition successfully.
