John McCain - Bringing U.S. Troops Home "Not Too Important"

Sen. John McCain appeared on the Today Show June 11 2008 and continued to send a clear message that he is unconcerned about the prospect of a long war/occupation in Iraq.

When asked if he knew when American troops could start to return home, McCain said: "No, but that's not too important. What's important is the casualties in Iraq."

For the most part I'm trying to stay open minded about McCain but the man simply has not said one thing that impressed me enough to sway from voting Democrat.

Gas tax isn't exactly a good solution to our current fuel problem, lifting the ban on off-shore drilling is probably only a temporary solution at best; about the only thing that made me pause and think about it was his plea to build more nuclear reactors.

McCain MAY have something interesting up his sleeve but where is it then?

McCain's Possible Running Mates

McCain is being told he must find someone who can fasten his Depends while he's on the run. And he is being told he absolutely has to have someone who doesn't mind the odor of urine 24/7. He must have someone young, someone who can constantley wipe drool and keep him awake, and on track when he trails off from a talking points(veto beer?). While the list gets smaller McCain suggested Smithers from the Simpsons. Staffers spent hours trying to explain.
