http://live.pirillo.com - About a year ago, I spilled coffee on my desk, and ruined the video card in my Gateway. Liquid and hardware just don't get along.

  • which acer do u have?

  • someone told me, if you spill any type of liquid onto the laptop keys and it does get through onto the motherboard or any other type of curcuits and you switch it off and clean it down, it's pointless, you see the chips still hold "power even if you pull the battery out . chip's on a motherboard can hold power for a few minutes even though your laptop has no battery in it and no power brick linked to it..it's simple get a plastic cover.

  • i have an acer which has a waterproof keyboard. But i never take any chances and got a skin for the keyboard

  • What if the fother muckin thing still won't power on after a week?

I'm workin on sending it to the company but yea...

PS) How the hell do you spill on the monitor?

PPS or PSS whatever) I hate root beer cuz my laptop don't like it.

  • A friend spilled whiskey on my laptop, wrecked my keyboard and its still a bit cookey. But what gets me is atm's keyboards are exposed to the elements 24/7. Why cant a waterproof membrane be built in?

  • that is is exactly why u should spend more on keyboards i payed 60 dollars for my keyboard and 2 days later a entire cup of mountain dew was spilled on it and i wiped it with a paper towel and every key still worked and i payed 60 dollars for my keyboard so pay more now and save money
