On january, 3 2003 the #2 ohio state buckeyes took on the #1 miami hurricanes in a national championship showdown. Ohio state was a big underdog going into this game but that 2002 team was out to shock the world and they did just that.

This is the last 4-plays of the national title game.

  • I will never forget watching this game when i was 9 One of the greatest

  • Ok this call wasn't nearly as bad as the no holding call on Chris Gamble late in the 4th quarter. He was actually held twice on the play, and then he still may have caught the ball (it was REALLY close). Had the refs got that one right, the game would've been over in regulation.

  • @ptrain2010 man thats bull shit they took that game from us i sewr to god if i ever see them refs i would cut every single one of there head off thats how pissed i am

  • Worst call in college football history! OSU did not win this game it was given to them. They could never be the U. And I would proudly wear my Canes gear anywhere in that state of Ohio especially Columbus!

  • @TheBuckeyes93 That OSU team wasnt nothin! They didnt win the game it was given to them, Miami had their sixth championship taken from them!

  • @hjiv92 lol, Go back and look at some of the close games miami had including fsu...(gift missed fg). Theres film everywhere on the net showing it was the right call. Get over it moron. Sounds like ya lost a little money on that game...lol

  • that miami team was stacked. Ken Dorsey, Andre Johnson, Willis Mcgahee, Jarett Payton, Jonathon Vilma, Antrel Rolle, Kellen Winslow Jr, Vince Wilfork, Sean Taylor, so many others

  • @hjiv92 Listen man (and anyone else), if you're looking for someone to confirm that Miami was a more talented team, I won't argue. But they lost. Was it a bad PI call? Sure. But if you really want to insist on "should have": Miami "should have" never tied the game. Chris Gamble caught a first down ball in bounds near the end of regulation, which "should have" given the Buckeyes all they needed to run the clock out. But you know what? The refs didn't give it to them. Shit happens.

  • Still call bullshit on the PI call!

  • This was a great game, but seriously, coming from a Longhorn fan, EVERYBODY knew Miami was the better team. OSU just needed a bad call to bail them out. Plus OSU that year barely beat some of the bad teams that year in their conference. For example: Penn State, Michigan were barely won AT HOME, and Purdue, Cincinnati, Illinois, and Wisconsin were all won by the skin of their teeth. If not for that bogus Pass Interference call, OSU's 2002 national championship should have never happened...
