  • When will everyone realize that this is just a stepping stone for Barr. First education through charters (while Green Dot was mess hidden in the closet) then Locke... Green Dot still an internal nightmare for those that do his work. NOW, behind Parent Revolution, Green Dot still a mess, someone please AUDIT their accounting!!! Do federal funds pay for Green Dot happy hour. Wait, the Mayor and Marshall TUCK (former Green DOT CEO) have them paid off!

  • Five of Green Dot's schools have APIs far below Emerson's 701:

    Animo Jackie Robinson 597

    Animo Justice 569

    Animo Ralph Bunche 636

    Animo Watts 614

    Animo Locke 2 652

  • Barr, Petruzzi, and Austin boasted before taking over of Locke, that they'd turn the school around in a matter of months. Given similar conditions to LAUSD without the ability to skim and cherry pick students they haven't produced 800 APIs a year later, even with the millions from Broad and Gates. Instead of handing more money to these corporations, we need to keep our schools public. Support students, parents, and UTLA instead of funneling tax dollars into Steve Barr's lavish Silver Lake home.

  • I believe this a wonderful accion that will produce a great and big changes in our future generations, communities, leaders and our country. i am agree with the vision of changes that parents revolution explain i have my third dauther she is 9 years old and she is no third grade she is doing good but if i can do some thing that will help more to her and others childrend i get interested thanks mi name is osvaldo padilla

  • That's a man who loves what he's doing, and cares about his customers. There was a time when that was normal for American schools.
