MARIO PAVONE (Theatre Director-Actor-Artistic Director) was born in Letojanni (Taormina Mare),Italy.After completing his studies in Messina in 1967,he transferred to Geneva where he studied French at the "Ecole Internationale".The following year, he travelled across Europe and the Middle East. In Israel, he volunteered in several Kibbutz.In 1969, he transferred to London where he worked in experimental theatres in Chelsea, in particular with the theatre company of Michael Williams. In 1971 he returned to Italy (Rome), where he attended the drama school of Anna Gruber and was influnced by the "Scuola Romana". He subsequently worked as an actor with various avant-garde theatre groups, including Pippo Di Marca's "Metavirtuali" company, where he performed the role od Don Josè in Carmen. Most notably, he also starred, alongside Luca Ronconi, in the RAI production of Orlando Furioso as Prince Amurabi, and with Giancarlo Nanni and Manuela Kustermann's "La Fabbrica dell'Attore" theatre company he played the role of Ralf in the critically acclaimed Franziska by Franz Wedekind, which toured major Italian theatre for two years and was performed in New York at the "Italian Theatre Festival" in 1979.In 1980, he founded his own theatre company in Rome, "The Gruppo Teatro del Baccano", bringing to the stage various theatre productions, working as both actor and director.
Most notable productions include Goethe's Faust , Carlo Stephanos's Vois Elle, Eva Brunner's K.Allotropos (From Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis) and Kalt , Sascha Mundstein's Nijinsky (from the Diary of Nijinsky), Tamarov-Ralf Un Canto da Cigno (From Cechov). He also conducted various theatrical workshops in Rome, Reggio C. , Manziana and Brussels.In 1994, he transferred to London, where he has conducted theatre workshops at University College London and in various Italian schools and colleges.He has collaborated with the Italian and European Academy, as directed by Rosamaria Letts. He has worked as an actor and director with the " Diabalein Theatre Company" and "The Primitive Science Company" in the production of "Icarus Falling" (after a painting by Pieter Brueghel il Vecchio)) by Boz Temple-Morris, hugely successful in both London and Hannover.Mario Pavone, resides in London, but is currently across Europe where he continues to work on various theatrical projects.PROPOSED WORKS:Nijinsky after the Diary of Nijinsky;Target - Salome after Salome by O.
