This swings. I prefer this tempo to other Clapton versions further on up the road in his career.

One of my very Favorites My Eric Clapton..

touched by God. sometimes I think God puts his hands in people's situation more than the people themselves. this was a point where Clapton and the Band knew, this was going on the books and they both knew they were the best at something and they knew exactly what to do. this is the sound of a practiced band that never practiced.....there were even technical difficulties with straps and not one beat was missed.....WOW

The Best of the Last Waltz is what this this rockin' blues is. "Smoke dem geetars bros!" One of the best all-time live soloing ever. Every guitarist should stop at this "shrine of the blues" to hear the truth. Please check out our tribute to this blues style on youtube---johnnyguitar335

@jurzeetoad ya after a while ( 60+ years) the faculties start to wear down.

holly crap, this is probably what Eric sounded like throughout the freakin 80s without all the damn chorus pedals and flanger crap!

God Bless Leo Fender and the Strat. 'Nuff said.

i love how your TV changed when Robbie enters

One of the coolest things about this performance is the look on Clapton's face at about 2:45 as he clearly takes great pleasure in watching and hearing Robbie's solo.

The rhythm section is so solid, it raises one up to the feet. Very, very relaxed and solid mastery by everyone in this video.
