  • so sad i didnt see how you installed it i see the kit but not the installation as the video says

  • @theASEtech Sometimes you just run out of time, what can I say :{

  • is a new installed unit?

  • @erd675 Yes it is.

  • Umm, I was just noticing that, that heat pump does not have an accumulator. I thought an accumulator was required on all heat pumps.

  • @84randomdude In high efficiency equipment the superheat is controlled buy the txv there should be no liquid refrigerant leaving the evaporator so Rheem eliminated the accumulator. You will see the accumulator on all the older fixed metering heatpump where the superheat is not controlled.That was a very good question! Good eye!

  • @dizziedallas Oh OK. Thanks! You wouldn't believe how many times I replayed a certain part of the video, where you showed the compressor area, and I was finally like, "There's no accumulator!" LOL!!

    Thanks for the info!

  • @fritzhvac Hey thanks Fritz!!! you have been busy no problem.

  • Rock n Roll Dallas , sorry this video didn't pop up on my end !!! I just found it !!! Great detail on low ambient kit installtion !!! Fantastic Demo Dallas , you know I like relays , you are the one that taught me there vast uses !!!

    Thank You !!!

  • @tstatech The ambient temp was about 58 when I started and 70 when I was done, I put some water on the coil to demonstrate the low ambient kit.

    I have never used a Hoffman but I have used a ICM fan speed head pressure control with good results. Thanks for the good comments!
