Kibaki in China

Kenya and china have agreed to prioritize the construction of the Lamu Port as a key project under Kenyas vision 2030. During bilateral talks between President Mwai Kibaki and chinas president Hu Jintao in china today, they agreed that the port has potential to open up vast parts of northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia region to more trading opportunities. Kirigo Ngarua reports.

Hu Jintao just gave you 1.2 Billion shillings Free, a Grant, no strings no questions asked! In addition they'll make Dubai look like Soko Mjinga once they done fixing Lamu! Eat the cake n stop worrying about the waiters' ethnicity or looks; Life is short! Smell the coffee! (Only thing Mwai forgot to beg is the Chinese policy of shooting corrupt civil servants then charging the thief's family for the cost of the bullet! Now that would be nice for Kenya!)

This is good news for Kenya, if only we could minimize corruption and end impunity these efforts would bear real GDP growth.
