Driver I could not take it anymore. I had so much trouble getting steped on by local radio stations over riding my fm modulator I had to get one of those kits to hard wire my xm.

nope, ain't buying any more radios....it was a valid comparison. even if it's out dated.

Agreed. The new Sirius ports however are far superior to the XM ports. Since this post is over a year old now, maybe you can do a follow up with new ports from both companies. I'm pretty confident that you'll get a different result.

It needed to be discontinued.

Sirus has much better ports with better FM modulators than the Streamer GT now. That particular model is obsolete and isn't even available for purchase anymore. Try investing in a Sportster 5.

One can argue about which has better programming. I tend to lean overall towards XM. But when it comes to sound quality, that EASILY goes to Sirius. XM sounds muffled. They need to adjust their codec. I really dont see much difference OVERALL in modulators. It's not really fair to compare 1 specific receiver against another specific receiver. Then again who uses mods anyway? Ever heard of an aux jack? The sound quality is TONS better. Go buy a $100 deck with an aux jack on it.
that would be the fm transmitter dumb shit... and there the same company...

i have the xm express that i bought from target for 40 bucks. i use the fm module in my truck. but if i were to place a portable radio anywhere on the hood of my truck and tune in the station i have set. i get the xm signal through the portable radio. its a good radio for its price.
