Lian Harper // Concrete Angel

One day, someone at DC Comics decided that they should make a comic called 'Cry for Justice'. What could make this comic more raw and gritty, they asked themselves. "Oh, I know. Let's rip off one of Roy Harper's arms and kill off his daughter, you know, the cute little five year old?" The only thing that makes it worse is that they originally planned to kill Mia Dearden (Speedy II) as well.

I know it's been a year since the death of Lian Harper, but when my friend was playing this song on her laptop, all I could think of was Lian. Yes, the song is about child abuse and Lian was doted on by her daddy and all her aunts and uncles....but it just...I can't even finish my sentence.

She was one of my favourite supporting characters in the entire DC Universe, always being counted for cuteness. She also gave Roy the unique position of being a single father, plus there was always drama to be had when it came to her mom (Cheshire). But no, let's toss any good potential out the window in favour of a greiving drugee one-armed Arsenal joining the Titans: Villains for Hire. I could rant about this...but I won't. Merely for the fact that it's been ranted about by a lot of other fans already.

I wanted to see her grow up and become Red Hood or Speedy or Jade Arrow or Arsenic or whatever name they could have come up for her. Guess not. ='(

And can I just say how much I love her overalls? =3 A lot of her outfits have little overalls and its adorable.

Edit: I'M GOING TO NAME EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER IN THIS VIDEO aka characters who loved Lian. Okay? Okay.

ETA: According to news about the DC reboot, Roy's 'too young' and Lian was never born. Even though Lian was born when Roy was what, nineteen? Twenty? If he's any younger than that, then he should be hanging out with Tim and the Teen Titans or something.

@starlight20angel I agree with you because it was a very pretty girl with all the Justice League with his father (Roy). what more hurt in my heart was when Roy was crying on her in the morgue, it gave me a lot of sadness, but the song and why red arrow is my favorite superhero.

Maybe in the reboot Lian will be made again, eventually..
