Because he's the oldest, Jake has been the man of the house, since his parents divorce. When Mom starts seeing Sam, who always seems to be trying some new way to get rich quick, and declares he's the man of the house now, Jake puts up with it. Until he discovers Sam's illegal activities.

  • @rickard1177 And there are plenty of them, thats the scary thing.

  • @danning1 i see. ty

  • @qu7aker Read my post below. Jake is too young and naive to call Sam's bluff. Jake believes Sam when he rants that his mother will go to jail, too, for conspiracy if anything is reported to the police. Again, if he had been a little older and wiser he would have known that that would be unlikely, that the law would be more lenient with a woman with two kids who just got mixed up with the wrong people.

  • its shitty when parent choose drugs over their kids

  • Corey is so cute "What did he lose, his dick?" LOL

  • Why didnt he go to the police when sam chased him? thats what i would have done.

  • I miss the 80's! This is where some of the greatest stories were told.

  • P.S. It's too bad Jake doesn't call Sam's bluff and call the police at 1:20-1:22. If he had been older and had known a little more about the law (and plea-bargaining and so forth) he would have figured that they'd probably be more lenient with his mother. Jake starts dialing and Sam has two choices:

(1). Leave like Jake wants him to, or

(2). Stop Jake from calling and take a greater risk that even the mom will see him for what he really is.

  • @JohnnyGreaserCade Too many people in this day and age, I'm afraid. :-(
