This video shows the Grand Canyon Railroad arriving into the station in Williams, AZ. Notice how it is being pushed by the locomotives so they are the last to appear. And, of course, they are diesel engines since the railroad no longer uses their steam engines.

  • @camaroracer454 They brought it back, now there running on former french fry oil

  • The train comes in back-first in this video because there was a Polar Express train that night. They back the train in so that when they pull back out, the Polar train can back in straight to the depot and the Canyon train can go straight to the side track, instead of needing to go around the wye and holding up the departure of the Polar train. Hope that makes sense. Normally the GC train comes in loco first, but during Polar they wye it before backing in to the depot.

  • yeas it is sad. i had so much more interest in going on this ride to see grand canyon instead of driving when it was steam

  • Nice. I can't believe they got rid of the steam program! So sad.
